Additional Matt Gold Lining *Please note this gold lining is an additional cost to your lampshade order with Cardigan Bay Designs*
The matt gold lining projects a warm & lustrous reflective glow from the inside of your chosen lampshade. PLEASE NOTE THIS LINING IS NOT SOLD SEPARATELY and is only sold in conjunction with a lampshade order from this shop.
UV stable & flame retardant
High impact strength
Anti-static treated to minimise attraction of dust
UV stabilised – anti yellowing
Passed the glow wire test carried out by the UK Lighting Association.
Manufactured in the UK
Please note that the mirrored gold lining will naturally reflect the light inwards, so the fabric pattern will not be as vivid when lit up as with the standard white lampshade backing

Choosing the Size of Your Lampshade
Below is a rough guide to assist you in choosing the size of your lampshade. I am here to help so please email me if you need any help with this.
Width
The lampshade’s width (diameter) should be roughly equal to the height of the lamp base.
Proportion
The lampshade should be wider than the widest part of the bottom of the lamp base. If the lamp’s dimensions fall between two shade sizes, choose the larger one. It will look better and distribute more light. Consider an oval shaped lampshade if you are limited for space.
Height
The lampshade’s height should be about two-thirds the height of the lamp base.
Light needs
A larger, more transparent shade or a higher wattage bulb will provide more light.
